The pretty village of Chilbolton on the higher reaches of the River Test has always been a really popular place to live. One if the hallmarks of a village which still has a local focus of community life is the continuing existence of a village pub and a shop, and if all of the boxes are ticked, a Post office too. Chilbolton has all of these plus a beautiful riverside common, lovely local walks along the river and field side paths, and great access to the local places of work and to the local important transport links. Andover and Winchester are a 10-15 minute drive, and Salisbury and the M3 just by Basingstoke, closer to 20-25 minutes away by car.

Winchester is spreading out; Barton Farm to the north of the city has begun, and Winchester Village is starting to take shape to the south. Things were a little quicker to the west where Holly Meadows was developed off Salters Lane some ten years ago; a leader in development on the city boundaries. The area shows its established nature with many mature trees between the houses and apartments, and shrubs and hedges to delineate the boundaries. The more recent opening of Waitrose and Lidl alongside the shopping and eateries on Stoney Lane is also an indication of the movement of services out to the edges to service the people who enjoy their home life there.

We have let homes from £695 per month up to a 6 bed country home at £3500 per month during May. In fact we need more property to let to the lists of waiting applicants we are speaking to every day.”
