Last Tuesday saw the 21st Annual conference of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) held at Excell - the largest conference and exhibition centre in Europe. There are now over 8,000 members of ARLA which is the biggest professional Lettings association in the UK and the conference saw may 100s of them attend the exhibition and hear the speakers and join in the sometimes heated discussions. With the vast amount of ever changing Lettings legislation it is imperative that companies and landlords keep abreast of the laws and guidelines and being a member of ARLA is one way to be sure a tenancy stays within the strict legislative framework.Read more

So what is the rental market like at the moment?

In early 2015 the rental market was strong and we were letting many more properties than during the same period in 2014. As we moved into the election period during April and early May this year, as predicted, the market slowed a little as both landlords and tenants became cautious as to what the election might bring.Read more
